In honour of the United Nations' World Interfaith Harmony Week, and the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, UVic Multifaith Services and the Victoria Multifaith Society are joining together to present Creating our Future: Visioning a Sustainable, Compassionate World.

Eight thought-provoking presentations will discuss how the wisdom and vision of our spiritual traditions can help us to take this turbulent period of history and build the beautiful, sustainable, humanitarian future we all want.

Panelists from the diverse traditions of First Nations Spirituality, Hinduism, Buddhism, Christianity, Islam, the Bahá’í Faith, and Unitarianism will join together for a joyful and informative afternoon celebrating interfaith harmony, with presentations, Q&A, displays, music, and ethnic refreshments.

MC for the afternoon will be Paul Bramadat, Director of the University of Victoria’s Centre for Studies in Religion and Society.

The event will open with displays at 1:00 p.m., with the program following from 1:30 - 4:00 p.m. University parking is free on Sundays.
