The VIU CREATE Conference showcases major research and projects by VIU students through poster, displays, artwork, performances, and presentations.

CREATE is designed to promote and reward student research and projects at VIU. There are so many great opportunities for students to pursue research and projects that they are passionate about, and CREATE allows them to share their work to the public, for FREE. Students are also competing for prizes, one of which consists of a "People's Choice" decided by public vote.

There are three sections of the event:

Posters/displays/artwork - students design and print a poster/artwork detailing their project and display them in the main cafeteria (bldg 300)

Presentations/performances/films - Students have 15 minutes to present their projects with time for questions Scholarship Slam - Students have just 3 minutes to present their projects using any props and costumes to assist

This is VIU’s 6th annual CREATE Conference and it will be bigger than ever! The event will be taking place on the VIU campus, and it is open for any members of the community to attend, enjoy, and engage in local student research!
