add to outlook add to google calendar remind me
On September 7, 1962, off the coast of Duncan, BC, the fishing packer The Loretta B capsized in a violent storm, leaving only one survivor of a crew of five, Eileen Lorenz, eight months pregnant. This story and others will bring to the surface the personal histories and testimonies of the women who worked and lived in the fishing industry on the Pacific West Coast from both aboriginal and non-aboriginal perspectives.
Pre-performance activities will take place May 16 & 17 (times TBA) when actors from Women in Fish visit the community to invite local participation in gathering womens stories of life along the coast.
Watch for updates about story sessions, public chats, actors workshops, and youth programming.
