Over the years, Lake Days, as it affectionately know by the locals, has had many sponsors and many events such as a bicycle race from Duncan to the Cowichan Lake, water and logging sports, marching bands, boom chain toss, ultra marathon race, entertainers, air force fly by�s, helicopter rides and a water bomber spray which was a real crowd pleaser on a hot day. The parade attracted floats from all over the island and still does to this day.

Some of the events from the days gone by remain still � Breakfast on the Town, Logging Sports, Town BBQ (no longer salmon but steaks), Lake Days Dance and of course the ever popular Lady of the Lake Pageant.

Lake Days has seen many changes in its long history including every kind of weather from the usual rain to gale force wind and hot sunny days but has survived it all to remain an ever popular June event.
