Cowichan Green Community's Garage Sale Fundraiser

Hosted by the Cowichan Green Community (CGC), who took possession of the Phoenix Station Motor Inn on June 28, 2013, we invite the community to peruse through and take home some of the building�s inventory.

�In preparation of the building�s major renovation, which will take place throughout the fall, CGC is clearing out some of the hotel�s inventory,� says Lisa Mercier, the CGC building�s new property manager. �From bed frames, linens to dishes and kitchen gadgets, the garage sale will be an opportunity for some of the building�s inventory to be reused and recycled within the community.�

All proceeds raised at the garage sale will go directly to CGC�s Communitree Building Beautification Fund - a campaign created to finance the external renovations to the CGC building. As CGC�s existing renovation budget does not include provisions to upgrade the exterior look of the building, which includes a new paint job, awnings, and updated signage, we�re seeking the community�s support in helping our team to revitalize this landmark site. Anticipated to cost $50,000.00, our hope is that the garage sale will raise 5% of the exterior revitalization budget.

This event will take place at the CGC Building Parking lot rain or shine! All unsold items will be donated to a local charity.
