Cowichan Green Community invites all past, present and new members to our 2014 Annual General Meeting.

The AGM is a time for membership renewal, to meet fellow community members who are passionate about improving local food security, and to enjoy a great evening of local food and fun. This year's event will include a presentation by Bill Jones, chef, author and owner of Deerholme Farm. Bill will share his passion and expertise in local food foraging and wildcrafting.

CGC's AGM takes place during Transition Cowichan's Eat Local Challenge! Transition Cowichan, along with CGC staff and board, will prepare and serve locally inspired fare at the AGM. We encourage AGM attendees to bring a local dish to share.

The evening will conclude with the formal AGM proceedings: an opportunity to review the work and financial management of the past year, ask questions, raise issues and elect board members for the coming year. Everyone interested in local food is encouraged to participate, voting however is limited to those have held a membership for at least 30 days prior to the AGM (May 18, 2014).

As part of the AGM proceedings, the winners of CGC�s 2014 second annual Green Superhero Awards will be announced. The Annual Green Superhero Awards aim to recognize and honor local community members who demonstrate extreme commitment, dedication, and compassion to helping our region become more sustainable.
