The Nanaimo Crime Stoppers in partnership with Island Document Shredding and Storage (IDSS) and Woodgrove Save on Foods, is proud to announce a day of document shredding. Have your documents professionally shredded by Island Document Storage and Shredding (DSS). While you wait, help yourself to a BBQ manned by volunteers with the local Nanaimo and District Crime Stoppers (NDCS) program. One hundred percent of the proceeds from this community event go directly to the local program. NDCS does not receive any government funding, relying solely on donations to pay for successful TIPS, training, administration and promoting the local program.
This is the 4th shredding day NDCS has hosted and is their largest fund raiser. It is also an excellent opportunity to educate the public on the risk associated with identity theft and fraud. By shredding your documents on a regular basis, you reduce your chances of being victimized and help keep our community safe
