Sun, May 17th, 8-10pm, Concert – Cindy Church & Nathan Tinkham – Elegant Simplicity Elegant Simplicity. When Cindy Church and Nathan Tinkham left Victoria in the spring of 1984 to pursue a musical career, they had little idea of what lay ahead. Beginning as a duo at the Explorer Hotel in Yellowknife, the next dozen years would find them wending their way through various collaborations and incarnations.
As well as building their own careers, Cindy and Nathan became part of the fabric of the folk and country scenes in Canada as members of the Ian Tyson band, Great Western Orchestra and Quartette.
Along the way they worked with many other artists as well…Patsy Montana, Charlie Louvin, Jethro Burns, Sylvia Tyson and Murray McLaughlin to name a few.
