The Comox Valley Annual Tourism Industry Forum takes place at the Vancouver Island Visitor Centre in Cumberland on September 11, 2013.

This annual event provides the opportunity for Comox Valley and North/Central Island tourism businesses to learn, provide input and engage in a series of regional destination marketing and tourism product development initiatives, within an informal tradeshow and networking environment. A key note address will be given by Andrea Shaw, Chair, Destination BC Board of Directors.

- Discover Comox Valley Media Relations Program; review recent destination media coverage and provide input into 2014 media outreach story pitches.

- Culinary and Agri-tourism Events; learn how businesses can engage in leveraging culinary event marketing campaigns including Dine Around Comox Valley, the BC Shellfish Festival and the Comox Valley Farm Cycle Tour.

- Comox Valley Signage Committee; review current internal and external signage initiatives, including a new Comox Valley Gateway Signage project.

- Comox Valley Visitor Services Opportunities Program; check out both modern and traditional ways to engage visitors and increase your visibility.

- Key Note Speaker, Andrea Shaw, Chair, Destination BC Board of Directors - Andrea J. Shaw's life work is driven by an aspiration to elevate the potential of sport, culture and community. She is the Founder and Managing Partner of Canada's leading strategic marketing and sponsorship agency the TwentyTen Group, and is proud to serve as the inaugural Chair of Destination BC's Board of Directors, a group tasked with the mission to elevate the British Columbia brand in Canada and around the globe. Andrea is also as a director on the board of the BC Cancer Foundation.
