The Comox Valley Paddlers’ Club is pleased to welcome Charles Hawkswell and Roch Massicotte of the Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue, Unit 60, as guest speakers at the first Comox Valley Paddlers Club meeting of the 2015/2016 season. Charles and Roch will be passing on valuable information about how to stay safe whilst on the water in small paddle powered craft.
The Royal Canadian Marine Search & Rescue is a volunteer marine search and rescue organization that is an integral part of the Canadian Search and Rescue (SAR) system. The men and women of Unit 60 Comox are made up of dedicated community members who volunteer their time to be trained in marine SAR and boating safety education. Comox Valley Paddlers club meetings take place the first Thursday of each month, October through to May.
Paddling enthusiasts can learn more about club events and summer activities at the meeting. Non-members are also very welcome to attend. There will be a club business meeting after the presentation.
