Celebrating the 136th annual Comox Valley Exhibition is an outstanding achievement for the organizers, volunteers, sponsors and supporters. 2009 brought CVEx the Top Evaluation Award of Excellence award for the second year in a row from BC Fairs as well as the Chamber of Commerce Heritage Award.

CVEx is instrumental in educating the public by providing awareness in the diversity of agriculture within the Comox Valley with events and features available for the enjoyment of young and old � there is something for everyone!

Brand new this year is the Loggers� Show, Strongman Competition, Culinary Demo Station, Proform Hay Analysis Competition and the outstanding Wagz World of Dogs. Back by popular demand for the second year are the Kiwanis Extreme Zucchini Race, BMO Track �n Trail Kids Fun Run and Quilt Show, bigger and better than ever. With the horse, dairy, sheep, poultry and 4-H shows, there is no shortage of farm animals!! And the fair would not be complete without the Glacier Antique Equipment display and parade. Learn the history of Comox Valley farming from those who know it best!

With two stages of non-stop entertainment, the Home and Garden Show, clowns, fiddlers, caramel popcorn and cotton candy, this is a week-end filled with action packed fun!!

Don�t forget to have a look at the bigger than ever Entry Book (available at the CVEx office or website) and you will be sure to find your hobby or passion can be entered into a category at the fair!!! Whether it is flowers, cooking, canning, vegetables, fruit, scrapbooking, sewing, quilting, photography, whittling or smocking � show it to our community! Share your passion!

Also new this year is Seniors� Day on Friday Aug. 27 and Military Day on Sunday Aug. 29th.
