Take a quirky coffee shop, add a few baristas, a double-shot of interesting customers and a sprinkle of romance, stir it all up with some catchy tunes and local artists and you get �Common Ground�, an original musical to be presented next week at the Vanier Studio Theatre .

With script and lyrics by Joey Clarkson & Breanne Larson and music and arrangements by Joey Clarkson & Adam Kozlick, this caffeine powered musical will energize and entertain people of all ages. If some of the names sound familiar, it's probably because Joey Clarkson recently released her debut CD in April which is enjoying airplay on island stations. She was also the musical director for last week's �Grease�, put on by the Rainbow Youth Theatre. Adam Kozlick played the lead role in this summer's highly successful CYMC production of "Sweeney Todd".

The interactive set will feature works of art by local artists Naomi teWinkel and Sofie Skapski. This youth-driven project is sponsored by The Common Ground Cafe on 5th Street, with part of the proceeds going to Habitat for Humanity.
