Shirley Gnome is a self-styled musical comedian and songwriter. Armed with only a guitar and a sassmouth, this chanteuse provocatrice belts out original tunes about the embarrassing, profound, and hilarious adventures that happen when bodies collide. Her music, while smothered in explicit language and racy humor, is sung with the voice of "an angel dry-humping a cloud." This divine yet profane combination has found her a devoted audience with her shameless renderings of sex and romance. Sometimes tongue-in-cheek, othertimes insightful and honest, Shirley weaves a live show that has people in hysterics - often in spite of themselves.

She won over audiences all over Vancouver to become Patrick Maliha's The People Champ of Comedy Competition 2012 Grand Prize Winner, taking home $20,000. She continued this success with critically acclaimed shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and the St. Ambroise Montreal Fringe Festival. She has graced the stages of several burlesque festivals with her baudy stylings, earning herself a place as a beloved member of the international burlesque community. She was nominated last year for a Canadian Comedy Award for Best Variety Act, and won F^&*ing Funniest Show this year at the Frigid NY Theatre Festival.

Shirley will be continuing her relentless touring schedule in 2015 with shows in New York City (Frigid Theatre Festival), The Montreal Fringe, The Winnipeg Fringe, The Edmonton Fringe Festival, UNOFest (Victoria), and more. With a third live album released earlier this year, Shirley continues to delight, shock, and amuse audiences wherever she can.
