Did you know Nanaimo has a growing local comedy scene? Every second Thursday you can catch a parade of comics as they roll out the funny in a great little room with great big atmosphere. You'll see the funniest standups from around the Island, plus drop-ins from across Canada and beyond, throwing down jokes and getting personal. And it's all just to make you laugh.
Cover is just $5, or free for performing comics. New comedians are always welcome, so if you've always wanted to try stand-up, come on down. Sign up for comics is at 7:30, show is at 8:00. Out of town comics: send us a message on Facebook at Mid-Island Comedy so we can save you a spot.
