Comedy in Victoria presents Winter Pride at The Mint on Sunday, February 7, 2016.

Vancouver stand up comedienne Jane Stanton will headline the show, which is hosted by Darcy Michael, and features Victoria’s Darcy Collins.

Comedy at Pride is a fundraiser for the Victoria Pride Society. Comedy at Pride not only builds funds and awareness for the Victoria Pride Society, it also provides a venue for LGBT comics to build community and practice this exciting art form in front of live audiences.

Jane Stanton - Watching Jane Stanton on stage is like having a late night conversation with you best friend, if your best friend is one of the funniest people you know. In her short time performing comedy Jane has toured across Canada, won Vancouver’s funniest new female comic 2006 and has been featured on CBC Radio 1, XFM and the Can West Comedy Festival.

Darcy Michael - Widely considered to be one of Canada’s fastest rising stars, Darcy Michael’s stand up delivers jam-packed comedy with a laid back style. He stars in CTV’s Spun out alongside Dave Foley. Pegged by the Montreal Gazette as one of their favourites at the prestigious Just for Laughs Festival, Darcy has been nominated twice for a Canadian Comedy Award. His edgy but personable approach has won him numerous appearances at the just for Laughs Festival, Global Comedy Festival, Comedy Network’s Match Game, Winnipeg Comedy Festival, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and regular appearances on CBC Radio’s The Debaters.

Darcy Collins - Victoria’s own Darcy Collins is a Victoria-based stand up comic who has been lighting up the local comedy scene, with recent spots at Lafflandia and CBC’s Laugh Out Loud, and regular appearances at Hecklers Comedy and Phillips Comedy Night.  He has competed in multiple comedy contests and hosted a show that was headlined by Rob Schneider. He won a spot on the show during our Comedy at Pride Open Mic in October of  2015.
