Join us in the Metal Jewellery Studio at the NIC Campbell River Campus! Students will explore methods to identify gemstones using basic gem testing equipment. We will discuss gem theory and make it easy to understand the complexities of gem crystallography, gem formation, and how to set value to a gem.
Students will have an opportunity to work hands-on with genuine and synthetic gems as well as organic gem materials. Materials and equipment are provided.
