Nanaimo Reggae Massive proudly presents The return of SKAMPIDA from Bogota, Colombia & the Nanaimo debut of MISTICA from Medellin, Colombia Skampida is a high energy mix of ska, reggae, punk, klezmer, polka and more.
They formed in 1998 and have earned a reputation for their unique and crazy style gaining fans across many genres and many countries. Skampida first played The Queen's in May, 2011. Mistica is a relatively new reggae band making waves in the Colombian and South American scenes. Mistica's style is smooth, catchy reggae with hints of dub and tropical pop.
Also on the bill is Nanaimo's own Rebel Selector, host of Rebel Music International on CHLY 101.7 FM and resident DJ for Nanaimo Reggae Massive. Tickets available in advance at The Queen's and Fascinating Rhythm and at the door.
