Collage II: 21st Century Approaches

This is a follow-up course to Collage I: 20th Century Art in the Making, will focus on a thematic approach to collage-making and include topics such as architectural spaces, mapping, the body, contemporary culture, the natural world, politics, history and personal narrative. Students will be encouraged to explore the use of collage through two- and three-dimensional forms such as assemblage (wall reliefs), sculpture and installations. Prerequisite: Collage I or some collage experience.
