Code Switching: An Expanded Art Platform for Youth Are you curious, creative and committed? Youth ages 15-19 are invited to participate in Code Switching, which runs two Saturday afternoons each month, October to May. Through artist-led workshops, field trips, explorations in the studio, mentorship and collaboration, become fluent in the language(s) of contemporary art and develop your creative practice. Code Switching is open to artists working in various media including video, photography, paint, performance, and to critics, curators, and others eager to participate in conversations and action around contemporary art. Interested? 1. Attend an info session at Art Lab: Saturday September 10, 2-3 pm or Wednesday September 14, 7-8 pm 2.
Submit a letter of interest to [email protected] by Tuesday September 20 The cost to participate is free.
Presented in partnership with Vancouver Island Regional Library Artwalk 2016: Code Switching Teen artists from Code Switching will take over Art Lab for a two-day exhibition in conjunction with Nanaimo Artwalk 2016. Saturday December 3 & Sunday December 4 12 - 5 pm
