Featuring music by Wellington Secondary School Jazz Trio

The Nanaimo Chapter of the Federation of Canadian Artists (FCA) presents COASTAL EXPRESSIONS, a juried exhibition and sale of the works by members of the Nanaimo Chapter. The paintings in this Show will have been selected by a jury of three Signature members of the FCA.

The FCA was founded in 1941 as a not-for-profit group of independent artists and has had as its members such notables as Lawren Harris, J.A.S MacDonald and Emily Carr. The Nanaimo Chapter has been in existence for twenty five years and at present has sixty plus members, whose work ranges from representational to abstract, created by emerging to professional artists, all of whose objectives are to develop and maintain high standards of quality in their work.

Awards will be presented during the Opening Ceremony on Friday August 15, from 7 to 9 pm. The exhibition is open to the public and we hope everyone will join us in this celebration of fine art.
