add to outlook add to google calendar remind me
Clinton Fearon is a Jamaican roots reggae singer-songwriter based in Seattle, Washington who first gained international notoriety in the 1970's as a bass player, vocalist, and lyricist for legendary Jamaican band, The Gladiators.
He was also a sought-after session player during this early period of his career, cutting smooth bass lines with top producers such as Lee “Scratch” Perry & Coxsone Dodd. Fearon left the Gladiators and moved to the USA in 1987. He has performed and toured all over the world both acoustically and with his “Boogie Brown Band" ever since. Clinton has self-produced ten albums - eight with the Boogie Brown Band and two in a solo acoustic format.
The performance will provide concert-goers with a unique opportunity to enjoy the roots reggae genre as performed by one its very authors in a most basic and intimate format of solo acoustic where Clinton's talent shines strong, naturally delivering soulful, uplifting, and powerful performances each time.
Clinton is no stranger to Vancouver Island - In addition to playing Victoria Ska & Reggae Festival, Vancouver Island Music Fest and many other festivals and concerts in the region since the late 1980's, Clinton supported Vancouver Island University student activists in 2008 by appearing at Diana Krall Plaza in Nanaimo as the feature performer at United Against Empire, a community rally promoting peace, justice, and equality in protest of the Harbour City's now defunct Empire Days celebrations.
