Wednesday, March 1st, 2017
7:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Gord Johns, Member of Parliament for Courtenay-Alberni, will host a public discussion in Courtenay with an expert panel representing diverse perspectives on climate change and energy.

MP Johns invites residents to engage with experts, share ideas, and voice concerns about the effects of climate change on the environment and economy. The feedback collected during the public discussion will be taken to Ottawa. The public discussion will be broadcast on Facebook Live via MP Johns’ Facebook page and filmed by Shaw TV.

We hope to see you there! There is no issue more critical to this generation and generations to come than climate change. Climate change is a threat, but it also provides profound opportunity. By investing in clean tech and renewable energies we can galvanize our faltering economy and take strides towards reducing Canada's greenhouse gas emissions. We know the future of our planet and our economy depends on this transition. What are your thoughts on how to make Canada a global leader in renewable energy and clean technology?
