Clay George, Carolyn Mark, Dylan Stone: An Evening of Song

Clay George - A voice you recognize but can't place, singing about a place you recognize but can't face. At the core, Clay George writes about the ironies of being too sharp an observer in a world where people only see what they want to see. His voice was made for the car radio in another era. You tuned in while driving a lonely road at night, desperate for diversion. That's it, that's the voice! And then you never heard that song again.
But sometimes the only difference between a good song and a great song is the size of its audience. Here are some good songs that are destined to be great. Listen.
Carolyn Mark - Mark's music is so authentic in its back porch vibe, it seems to come with its own direct link to Loretta Lynn's '60s heyday - like her heroes, Mark is not afraid to rail against a man too drunk to understand his own screw-ups. Not to say Mark is some kind of saint: Her gigs are known for their off-balance candor and ribald humor as much as the homespun tunes. Go for the music, stay for the dirty jokes.
Dylan Stone - Hard working local writer who is starting to get his dues for his work in the Victoria music scene and for his ability to pen a great tune. At the age of 25 he is coming into his own as a performer and is sure to be sharing the bill with many more talented performers as his writing and work ethic continues to blossom.
For one night only you can see all three of these performers in a small intimate venue that promises to me a night of musical magic. It is not often that Clay and Carolyn will be under the same roof, so don't take a chance to miss this event.
