Dr. Michael Chase (Chargé de Recherche, National Centre for Scientific Research, Paris, France) will present a lecture entitled:
Spectator Novus: on Seeing (and Continuing to See?) the World As If for the First Time
An enquiry into why we get bored with our surroundings, incorporating testimonies from Greco-Roman philosophy, the ideas of Pierre Hadot on Philosophy as a Way of Life, and some considerations on the neurophysiology of attention.
