The Department of Greek and Roman Studies at UVic welcomes Dr. Gervais (Western University) who will present a talk entitled: Reading Virgil: Caieta’s Cult, Aeneas’ ἄχος, and Some Gaps in the Aeneid from Antiquity to the Beaver Wars. Dr. Gervais offers three approaches to the study of Virgil’s Aeneid: textual criticism, intertextuality, and reception studies.
