Dr. Trevor Van Damme (Limited Term Assistant Professor, University of Victoria) will present a lecture entitled: New Discoveries in the Lower Town of Ancient Eleon. (https://www.uvic.ca/humanities/greekroman/faculty/van-damme-trevor.php)
In 2022, the Eastern Boeotia Archaeological Project began a new campaign of work at Eleon, Boeotia. The aim of this project is to understand diachronic changes in the urban landscape of the settlement from the 12th–4th century BCE and human-environmental interactions from a local perspective. This paper contextualizes the results of our first season and outlines the work that we plan to accomplish with the renewal of excavations in 2023. https://events.uvic.ca/greekroman/event/70339-1
