The Civic Orchestra of Victoria is happy to announce Symphonic Masterworks, the third concert of the orchestra’s 31st season. The guest conductor for this concert will be the acclaimed conductor, violist, and music educator Yariv Aloni. Local mezzo-soprano Susan Young will be the featured soloist in the orchestra’s rendition of Elgar’s “Sea Pictures.” Also, the musicians of the Civic Orchestra are looking forward to being accompanied in this concert by harpist Josh Layne and organist Nicholas Fairbank. This community concert will provide an afternoon of varied and beautiful Romantic music, as the Civic Orchestra explores some symphonic highlights of the 19th century.
