The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure is Canada's largest single day, volunteer-led fundraising event dedicated to raising funds for breast cancer research, education and awareness programs. It was founded by a small group of volunteers who wanted to raise awareness and funds for the breast cancer cause. The CIBC Run for the Cure has made great strides since then, while staying true to grassroots and our volunteer founders� vision.

Last year, Canadians united to raise over $30 million in the 2012 Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure. The fundraising efforts and volunteer support of over 170,000 annual participants allows the Foundation to continue funding groundbreaking research, education, awareness and advocacy initiatives.

The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation is extremely grateful for this support and is honoured to be entrusted by the nation to continue to lead the way towards our vision of creating a future without breast cancer.
