Christmas in the Village is all about keeping the dollars flowing round and round and supporting the amazing shop owners of downtown Cumberland. The Cumberland Chamber of Commerce and friends challenge YOU to 'shift your shopping' and Buy Local this holiday season! Starting with the Cumberland Winter Fair November 30th through to Friday December 20th, Village merchants will open their doors to shoppers with all kinds of incentives, give aways, draws, sales and more. Local merchants will be decorating their store fronts with wondrous winter themes!
Cross border economics are also highly encouraged. All Island residents are invited to come "up to the Village" and enjoy specials, prizing and more from independent merchants, artisans and crafters. We'll do the same in their neighbourhood.
Christmas in the Village is about keeping the money flowing in our local community and supporting the hard work of independent businesses which in turn, support local families and employees. A bonus is that it's fun to roam the streets, run into friends and neighbours, sip hot drinks, check out the window decorating and celebrate the best of Village life!
