Join us at Ross Bay Villa Historic House Museum for an event that's sure to get you in the Christmas spirit! John Adams is a historian, folklorist, historical walking tour guide, author and engaging storyteller. In his 2003 book, “Christmas in Old Victoria”, Mr. Adams recounts such tales as the Legend of Christmas Hill, follows the young Emily Carr as she wanders along a festively illuminated 1880s Government Street and describes the infamous Fenian assassination of the wrong man on Christmas Eve 1890. Drawing on research for his book and his Christmas themed historic walking tours, John Adams will present seasonal stories from 19th century Victoria in this illustrated lecture.
Lecture begins at 7:30. Tickets are $10 and are required in advance.
