Christmas Concert - Comox Military Wives Choir

The Comox Canadian Military Wives Choir has grown to over 30 vocalists who are eager to share their harmonies with each other, and the community. Since its inception nearly two years ago, the Comox Canadian Military Wives Choir is becoming known for its dynamic harmonies and strong commitment to developing a sense of community within its ranks and with the community at large. They recently opened for The Tidesmen at the Sid Williams Theatre in Courtenay and were the featured musical entertainment at the Fiberg Lodge’s Christmas Fair in Comox. Choir members credit their musical director, Wendy Nixon Stothert, for their inspiration to sing from their hearts.

Many of the women are singing publicly either for the first time, or for the first time since their youth. With her reputation as an outstanding director and conductor, Wendy brings tremendous enthusiasm and generous sharing of her skills to guide new singers to find their voices and expand their vocal abilities. If you ask any of the choir members they will tell you that Wendy makes them want to sing sing sing!

The Comox Canadian Military Wives Choir invites everyone for a festive afternoon to their upcoming Christmas concert on Sunday, December 18th. The event will take place at St. Michael and All Angels Chapel on Military Row in Comox, starting at 2:00pm. Admission is by donation with a portion of the proceeds being donated to the Chaplain’s Benevolent Fund. People are also invited to bring their appetite as there will be a bake sale after the concert along with coffee and tea being served. For more information, contact [email protected]
