With the spring thaw comes a big salmon run right between Painter’s Lodge and April Point Resort & Spa.
Spring salmon fishing in Campbell River can really heat up, and to get anglers excited we’ve created the Chinook Spring Salmon Derby.
Every Chinook (Spring) salmon caught at Painter’s Lodge during the derby is automatically entered to win a prize. The angler with the biggest Chinook each day will win a prize (per resort). At the end of the weekend, we’ll tally up all the catches and award some huge prizes, including a trip for two to Painter's Lodge.
Prizes:
- Grand Prize: 4 day/3 night fishing package for two at Painter's Lodge.
- Second Prize: 3 day/2 night adventure package at April Point Resort & Spa including your choice of two of the following: 4 hour fishing trip, whale watching adventure, $200 spa credit, 18 holes of golf at Storey Creek.
- Bonus Prize: Everyone who catches a Chinook is entered to win! A 3 day/2 night fishing package to at the Canadian Princess Resort in Ucluelet.
