Children and Apple Pie Family Fun Fair

Evergreen Independent School’s 31st Annual Children and Apple Pie Family Fun Fair (CHAAP) is offering families a great way to spend their Saturday, with games and activities, great food, entertainment and one of the largest silent auctions in the Cowichan Valley! Come early to buy your hand-made apple pie for a chance to win diamond earrings. There are many games and activities at CHAAP. The smallest children will enjoy face painting, a bouncy castle and a fish pond, while older kids will be inspired at the woodworking table, prove their skills on the mini golf course, or play the amusing Angry Birds game.

The enormous silent auction is a feature of CHAAP! With nearly 450 items that have been donated by local artisans and businesses, there is something for everyone. Kids and adults alike can find nearly everything including jewelry, tools, wine, spa certificates, gardening supplies, books, sports equipment, furniture…..the list goes on. Feed your family with healthy delicious food at the concession, and bring home some freshly baked items from the bake table, including gluten free choices. Of course, Evergreen’s signature handcrafted apple pies will also be for sale (buy early as they sell out fast) for a chance to win diamond earrings!

To keep the festive spirits high, the live entertainment lineup includes Mbira Spirit, Phil Newns musicians and Genevieve Charbonneau, to name just a few. Evergreen Independent School has been a fixture in the Cobble Hill area since 1983, providing balanced education from Junior Kindergarten to grade 7.
