As the United Nation's Decade on Ecosystem Restoration begins, we welcome guest speaker Briony Penn, "Lady Godiva: Forest Activism Update." What is ecosystem restoration? Why is this more than a scientific concept? How can it transform our economy, our climate and our relationship to the earth? Naturalist, writer, educator, and broadcaster Briony Penn discusses projects that she has been supporting with community groups and First Nations, which have the potential to restore the land, our health and the cultural diversity of the coast. Her indomitable spirit and tireless devotion to protecting endangered species will enlighten and inspire everyone!
Guests and new members are welcome to attend CFUW PQ's monthly meetings.
Doors open at 6:30 pm so come early to meet friends, colleagues, and guests.
