Celebrating Women 6th Annual Art Show Opening Reception

The Campbell River Women's Centre is operated by the Vancouver Island North Women's Resource Society We are a non profit charity serving women and families for 30 years. This is the 6th Annual Celebrating Women non-juried community art show. The show is in the Tidemark Theatre gallery from February 20th - March 12th. Admission is by donation. On February 24th we are holding our Opening Reception to celebrate the artists, both new, emergent, and professional, who put their work in the show. This year our subtheme is Butterflies, as a symbol of transformation. Women's lives transform as they move through multiple roles as an anchor to their families, their children, and their communities. Local women come to the women's centre have decorated the butterflies on exhibit. We will have refreshments and a dessert as well as some local musical talent.
