Celebrating African Grandmothers
add to outlook add to google calendar remind me
For ten days in June, the Glacier Grannies are proud to host a multi-media touring art show, produced by the Royal City GoGo's of New Westminster, BC. The 40 juried pieces have been created by artists in the Comox Valley, elsewhere in Canada, the USA and Europe.
This multi-media show illustrates the small triumphs and moments of hope in the lives of African grandmothers and their grandchildren which light the way to victory over the AIDS pandemic in Sub-Saharan Africa.
All donations are forwarded to the Grandmothers' Campaign of the Stephen Lewis Foundation which funds grass-roots projects in Africa.
Heartfelt thanks go to our sponsors Mason Walker Real Estate, for covering transportation costs and gallery rental.
