Cedar and Willow Bark Twill Cat�s Head Basket Workshop

This basket is woven with cedar bark spokes and willow bark in a continuous twill pattern. Joan Carrigan will teach you how to shape the basket in a style of Cat�s Head basket associated with the Shakers. These baskets start with a square base and are woven in a distinctive way to achieve a rounded shape. The rim of this basket is a unique variation using yellow cedar bark three strand twining. All materials are included.

Tools to Bring: scissors, an old towel, spray bottle, curved upholstery needle, ruler, mini clips with no teeth or miniature clothes pegs.
