Carter Johnson was tagged by the CBC as one of the “30 Hot Canadian Classical Musicians under 30” in 2018. Graduating from UBC and moving directly to The Juilliard School in New York City, the sky seems to be the limit for this dynamic 23-year-old. This recital marks a return home to Vancouver Island for Carter. He has selected a spectacular program of Liszt, Ravel, Froberger, and Chabrier to transport the afternoon’s audience through a one-hour concert on First-Met’s own Oscar-Peterson-signed Steinway piano.
