Throughout the month of October at Hillside Coffee and Tea, local artist Carron Berkes will exhibit acrylic, watercolour and mixed media paintings. Berkes’ many colourful themes include the natural world (plants, animals and landscapes), abstraction, figurative and whimsical narratives. Works presented in this show are infused with simplicity and imagination—blending realism (The Rose) with abstractive, dreamy interpretations of the physical world (Daydream I). Her art is in private collections in Canada, Germany and America. Running until October 30th, the art show is a free community event, suitable for all ages and family members.
