Vancouver Island University (VIU) hosts an annual Science and Technology Lecture Series on the Nanaimo campus. Lectures are FREE and open to the general public. Next weeks talk is entitled "Caring for the Air - Air quality monitoring in the lower Fraser Valley" by Dr. Julie Saxton, an air quality planner with Metro Vancouver. Dr. Saxton will be discussing the data actively being collected at air quality monitoring stations and how this information is being used by policy makers.
