Chanteuse Cari Burdett performs songs from her 2015 CD Release ‘Magnolia’, Dramatic Gypsy Cabaret: a vocal journey through Italy, Spain, Sweden, France and Canada. Timeless european fusion of opera, folk, jazz and world. Stemming from Cari's gypsy roots, the troubadour sings new Canadian compositions as well as world classics. The show will be theatrical, virtuosic and at times impromptu. 

The release of Magnolia will bring 'Dramatic Gypsy Cabaret' to audiences with a roster of outstanding musicians. Produced by Juno Award winner Joby Baker, the album includes recent winner of the 2014 Saga Djangofest Award, Quinn Bachand, Canada’s beloved Miles Black on piano,  and Juno award winning artists Adrian Dolan and Richard Moody.  

A perfect gem of original Canadian music, this music highlights BC composers such as Anna Höstman, Christopher Butterfield,  Anne Schaefer,  Joni Mitchell, and Timothy Francis. Along with an abundance of new Canadian work, some new interpretations of classics by Edith Piaf, Kurt Weill, and Violetta Para will also be featured.
