Capturing the Coast is a photographic celebration of the West Coast of Vancouver Island.

Shelter Restaurant, Tofino, BC.
Doors @ 7pm.

The Capturing the Coast photography contest is designed to celebrate the natural world, the people, and the unknowns of Vancouver Island’s wild West Coast. Photographs should inspire people to explore, adventure and respect the region, and highlight the importance of stewardship and conservation. Proceeds from the event directly support our Field School for local youth.

We invite professional and amateur photographers to show us what you love about this place for a chance to win in the following categories (submission deadlines - February 18th):

-Facebook/Instagram Photo Draw (leading up to event): #capturingthecoast2015
-Best Slideshow (winner chosen at event)
-Best Single Photograph in four categories (winners chosen at event)
           a. Wildlife
           b. Landscape/Nature
           c. People
           d. The Unknown (i.e. sasquatch, mermaids, sea monsters, etc...)
