Candle Light Vigil For Nepal

Dr. San Mahara of The Downtown Dental Group / Rotary Club of Nanaimo Daybreak, has recently returned from his trip to Nepal. He was there when the earthquake happened and stayed to help.
Dr. Mahara is doing a candlelight vigil this coming Sunday, May 24th from 7 -8:30 pm at Maffeo Sutton Park. He may be in Nanaimo, but his heart is still with Nepal at this time and this event is to help support and to help raise funds for the region.
Did you know that over 24,000 classrooms have been destroyed? Nearly one million children do not have a school to go to. Many of these children are orphans, homeless and scared – and one of the sad, heart-breaking realities is that some children are being pulled into human trafficking.
We need to help.
