It is recommended that students have obtained their Pleasure Craft Operator Card (PCOC) and/or completed the CPS-ECP course, Beyond the PCOC, but it is not mandatory.
The third course in the CPS-ECP series explores navigation further as you learn how to plot and label on paper charts as well as what the skipper should be doing before setting out and when under way, handling a boat under sail as well as your environmental responsibilities and electrical hazards.
Course content: Navigation, Introduction to Plotting, Plotting and Labelling, Working with Paper Charts, Environmental Responsibilities, Skipper’s responsibilities before setting out and when under way, Electrical hazzards, handling a boat under sail, Tides and Currents, Collision Regulations / Rules of the Road.
