Canadian Light Music Society presents the Palm Court Orchestra: "Flying Down To Rio"

The Palm Court Orchestra celebrates its 27th year Concert Series of light-hearted music with a smile.

Flying Down to Rio takes its title from the MGM film starring Fred Astaire. It evokes a picture of Rio de Janeiro landmarks, the beaches, the Sugar Loaf Mountain and the Carnival. The Orchestra takes its audience to Buenos Aires, Mexico, Venezuela and Puerto Rico, ending up back in New York with West Side Story.

Enjoy the tango, bossa nova, paso doble, samba and The Girl from Ipanema. Join the Orchestra on a journey to Latin America including the music of Astor Piazzolla, Ant�nio Carlos Jobim and Leonard Bernstein.
