1:00 - 2:00 p.m. The Nanny Business. Courageous nannies reveal the dark side of the business of childcare.
2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Home Safe Calgary. Children and families in Calgary who experience poverty and homelessness. In a boom economy, parents with decent paying jobs struggle to put a roof over their families' heads.
4:00 - 5:30 p.m. Workers' Republic. Factory workers in Chicago take over their closing workplace to demand their severance, inspiring people all over the world to 'not take a bad economy lying down!" and Red Dust. The incredible story of resistance, courage and hope by women workers in China battling cadmium poisoning.
Short films: The Union Song (celebrating organizing via bluegrass), The Incredible Case of the Missing Recovery (we are doing better aren't we?), and Neoliberalism as Water Balloon (economics for the rest of us)
