Local artist, Bob McLeod, has mastered the art of glass blowing seen in his wall installations as well as sculptures. He has incorporated other mediums and techniques such as sandblasting, glass frit, powder etc. in his work to create a weathered and textured illusion.

LAMENT OF THE BUTTERFLIES

Lament of the Butterflies is a collaborative exhibition. Working with a local subject matter, the Garry Oak ecosystem, it is topical to Vancouver Island. This exhibition has two main bodies of works; Mausoleum: Red List Lament by Doris Auxier which is a reflection on nature, displacement and loss. While the other body is The Butterfly Effect by Edith Krause consisting of screen-prints of maps and invasive plant species, digital photographs of butterfly wings, plywood, acrylic, and hardware.
