The apocalypse is coming will you survive? Runners will make their way through a 4 km run and obstacle course all the while avoiding zombies who are trying to take away their flags. If you can make it to the finish line with at least one of your flags attached you have successfully escaped the zombie invasion.

Course
The course will wind its way through Willowpoint Park. Starting and finishing in the field behind the Sportsplex. When in the woods the trail will be marked with lines of flagging tape to prevent runners from going too far off track to avoid zombies. When runners cross the fields the course will be marked by flags and arrows. Obstacles will be setup throughout the course. Zombies will be waiting if you try to avoid the obstacle.

Registration / Sign In
You can register as an individual runner, zombie or as a team of runners.
Registration is available at the Sportsplex and Campbell River Community Centre

Race Times
1:00pm – 3:00pm
Sign up for a wave time during registration

Waves / Heats
To prevent backlogs of runners waves/groups will be released onto the course every 5 minutes.

Facepainting Station
Get zombified. Volunteer zombies will get some ghoulish makeup applied to scare the bejebas out of the runners.  The facepainting station will be set up throughout the event. So if you get eliminated early you can help make sure the zombies have reinforcements.

$10 for an individual
$25 for a Family
$50 for teams of ten
Free to be a Zombie – Must have to commit two hours to help the zombie cause.



Should I bring anything?
We also suggest a change of clothes/shoes, or a towel for the ride home. You’re gonna get dirrrrty.

What should I wear?
You’ll be given a race bib in your race packet. You must wear it while on the course, or you’ll be tackled to the ground and left for the zombies to devour.
The apocalypse isn’t gonna be pretty.
Can I bring my family/my dog/my neighbor’s niece’s cousin’s friend’s uncle?
You can bring every person you’ve ever known in your life, provided they stay off the race course. We will try to ensure that the zombies won’t eat their brains.
Oh – No dogs. No cats, no ferrets, chickens, or goldfish… Let’s not get crazy.
What’s the deal with the flags?
Every runner will be given a flag belt with two flags that must be worn when on the obstacle/race course. Each flag represents your “life.” The zombies are super hungry for yours, so they’ll be after them in a serious way… Cross the finish line with at least one flag intact and you can brag to all your friends that you survived the zombie onslaught. Lose your flags, and you’ve joined the ranks of the living dead. You will have to return to the starting line and if you want to continue as a zombie our facepainters will make that happen.
