Topics for each session will vary and participants are encouraged to bring real-life HR-related scenarios, challenges/questions and/or best-practices that they would like to share and/or see discussed by the group. The Roundtable Leader will guide the dialogue and encourage participation.

Mentorship is a powerful personal development and empowerment tool for people and the organizations they work for. Join us in a conversation about what mentorship really is, the benefit of having mentorship opportunities in your organization, and strategies to make mentorship successful. We will also provide information about the BC HRMA Mentorship Program and hear from some recent mentors and prot�g�es about their experience and benefits they've realized from participating in the program.

This month, please join Theresa Carrie, CHRP (and Mickie Donley our regular roundtable leader) as she leads you through this roundtable. Theresa is one of the leads on the Mentoring Portfolio and has volunteered on the BCHRMA Vancouver Island Advisory Council since 2009. She continues to participate in the program as a Mentor as well, always enjoying the opportunity to meet other HR professionals. An HR Generalist with Shaw Cablesystems G.P., Theresa partners with the management team supporting 1,200+ employees on Vancouver Island.

Roundtable Leader: Doris Wagner immigrated from Austria in 1986 and made her way to Campbell River in 2003 to become a part of the HR Community. Doris is an active member of BC HRMA which helps to support her in her HR Generalist role at Future Focus Program Services.
