Calling All Artists monthly sessions begin on Wednesday, November 14, 7:00 pm at Congregation Emanu-El Synagogue, 1461 Blanshard Street, Victoria, BC V8W 2J3. Cost is $85 for non-members, $60 for members. Please issue a cheque payable to Congregation Emanu-El and mail it or bring it to the first class on November 14. Now in its thirteenth year, Calling All Artists invites artists from any media - including visual, textile, graphic artists, poets, musicians, photographers, sculptors and ceramicists — to join Rabbi Harry Brechner for monthly study sessions on a topic connected to biblical, rabbinical, Talmudic, folk tradition, and a wide range of other sources. The artist interprets and deepens our spiritual knowledge through their art. A Gala celebration is held usually in June to show the work done over the months in study.
